Florida grants reciprocal licenses to adjusters who are licensed in a state that has a reciprocal agreement with Florida. AZ, CA, HI, NM, and NY do not have reciprocal agreements with Florida. The following states are reciprocal with Florida:

Fulfill Basic Licensing Requirements:

1. Ensure you are at least 18 years old.
2. Confirm your residency in the State of Florida.
3. Verify your citizenship status as a U.S. citizen or a legal alien with work authorization from U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Complete the Florida Prep Training and Florida All Lines Exam.

Application Submission: Use the MyProfile portal to submit your application. Make sure to  select the correct Florida license type. Non Residents will need the 7-20 License. Residents of Florida will need the 6-20 License. 

Fingerprint Submission: Follow the Florida Department of Financial Services (FLDFS) guidelines for fingerprinting.

Provide Proof of Citizenship, if needed.

License Issuance Check: Log into MyProfile to confirm if your license has been issued.

For Independent Adjusters - Self-Appointment Process:

1. Access your account on MyProfile and click the “Access eAppoint” button.
2. If it’s your first time using eAppoint, register as an appointing entity.
3. Select the appropriate option (New Appointment, Renew Appointment, or Terminate Appointment) and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Pay the $60 fee. Note that appointments must be renewed every 24 months during your birth month.
